Job summary

Synthomer plc is seeking an experienced Communications Manager focused on delivering engaging internal communications and supporting external storytelling. The role collaborates with US and global leaders to translate complex technical information into clear, audience-focused narratives while maintaining brand consistency.

The position operates in a hybrid setting with four days in the office and one remote day per week.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of SharePoint, Viva Engage and LinkedIn.
• Proven corporate communications experience within a FTSE 250 or similarly complex global organisation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to simplify complex topics.
• Strong stakeholder management, influencing skills and political awareness.
• Agile, adaptable and hands-on in a fast-paced, changing environment.
• Highly organized and delivery-focused with multi-priority management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver integrated communication plans aligned to business priorities.
• Create compelling content across internal and external channels (Viva Engage, SharePoint, leadership communications, town halls, corporate website).
• Manage internal platforms and drive platform adoption and governance.
• Collaborate with US and global leaders to communicate complex initiatives clearly.
• Support leadership communications in the US with messaging, presentations and announcements.
• Drive measurement and continuous improvement using data and feedback.
• Support external campaigns, thought leadership and employer branding activities.
