Job summary

MetLife is seeking a Head of Global Infrastructure to lead strategy, engineering and operations of its infrastructure platforms worldwide. You will modernize critical platforms, ensure secure operations, and deliver scalable infrastructure that supports evolving business and customer needs.

The role oversees ~800 engineers and 400 GCC resources, driving AI/ML infra, cloud engineering, Kubernetes, and IaC while coordinating with security and business leaders to align capabilities with enterprise

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, cloud platforms, or enterprise technology operations.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with leadership in large-scale infra environments.
• Expertise in AWS, Azure, or GCP and secure, scalable cloud infra design.
• Experience building enterprise data platforms and AI/ML infra solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead global infrastructure strategy across data, AI Ops, cloud, network, and end-user tech.
• Develop scalable, secure infra platforms for data, analytics, and AI workloads.
• Oversee hybrid hosting (on-prem, cloud, colocation) for resilience and performance.
• Lead a global infra org of ~800 employees and 400 GCC resources.
• Develop AI/ML infra capabilities including MLOps and GPU compute.
• Coordinate with technology, security, and business leaders on priorities.
• Lead cloud engineering with containers, Kubernetes, automation, and IaC.
• Modernize mainframe/legacy platforms while optimizing cost/performance.
• Manage global network services (WAN, LAN, SD-WAN) for high availability.
• Shape end-user tech strategy for a secure, seamless digital workplace.
