MetLife invites you to join its Global Technology team as a Principal Architect, shaping AI-powered platforms and agentic solutions across the enterprise. You’ll craft architectural vision, patterns, and governance, enabling rapid delivery while maintaining security and compliance.

In this hybrid role, you’ll partner with Platform and Solution Engineering, Security and Privacy teams to drive adoption of responsible AI and scalable architectures, balancing innovation with risk controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years in software or enterprise architecture with AI focus.
• Hands-on with AI concepts, agentic frameworks and MCP servers.
• Experience designing cloud-native architectures and API governance.
• Ability to lead complex architectural initiatives across orgs.
• Strong strategic communication to executives.

Responsibilities

• Define architectural direction for AI platforms and enterprise automation.
• Lead governance-by-design, security and compliance controls.
• Collaborate with Platform, Solution Engineering, Security, and Privacy teams.
• Research and prototype emerging AI technologies and patterns.
• Create reusable frameworks and accelerators for rapid AI deployments.
• Represent EA in strategic forums on AI platform evolution.
