Job summary

MetLife’s Global Technology team seeks a Solutions Engineer to help design, deliver, and secure scalable infrastructure across cloud, on-prem, and hybrid environments. You’ll partner with AD, Product-Aligned teams, GTO, and Global Infrastructure to simplify engagements and promote modern platforms.

This role requires 3–6+ years in IT infrastructure or related fields, strong cloud experience (Azure/AWS/GCP), IaC, security and resiliency awareness, and the ability to work with global teams.

Qualifications

• 3–6+ years in Information Technology, Infrastructure Engineering, or related tech disciplines.
• Knowledge of cloud, virtualization, compute, storage, networking, OS, middleware, and modern hosting patterns.
• Understanding of cloud platforms and hybrid infrastructure architectures.
• Security, resiliency, availability, DR, lifecycle management, and operational readiness concepts.
• Experience coordinating with multiple teams across regions and domains.
• Exposure to AI and automation.

Responsibilities

• Partner with development, product-aligned, GTO, and infrastructure teams to understand objectives, requirements, dependencies, and delivery constraints.
• Support design, planning, and delivery of enterprise infrastructure across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments.
• Translate business needs into infrastructure solution recommendations, including platform selection and resiliency.
• Promote adoption of XaaS offerings, reusable platform capabilities, and standardized patterns.
• Collaborate with engineering, security, SRE, operations, and regional teams to ensure secure, scalable, and compliant designs.
