Woodward Inc. seeks an experienced Industrial Controller to own the segment's financials, closing, and controls, partnering with the Segment President to drive performance across a global accounting organization.

The role emphasizes strategic finance leadership, digital transformation, and strong SOX/compliance oversight, with cross-functional collaboration and opportunities to influence major investments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience in a multi-site environment.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, and SOX.
• Experience leading, developing, and engaging teams in an international organization.
• Experience with ERP systems, ideally SAP S/4HANA.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and executive presence.

Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting activities for the Industrial segment, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP, local GAAP, policies and regulations.
• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Oversee revenue recognition, inventory/cost accounting, reserves, accruals, and other judgments.
• Partner with Segment President and leadership to provide insights on performance, working capital, cash flow, and metrics.
• Support strategic initiatives, investments, acquisitions, restructurings with accounting guidance.
• Maintain a strong internal control and SOX environment; lead remediation and audits.
• Drive continuous improvement and digital transformation, including automation and AI.
• Support SAP S/4HANA implementation across Industrial locations and optimize financial systems.
• Collaborate across Corporate Accounting, Operations Finance, Tax, Treasury, and other functions.
• Lead, develop, and inspire a diverse, globally distributed accounting organization.
