Job summary

Woodward FST seeks an experienced Industrial Controller to lead the Industrial segment's accounting, financial reporting, and controls. You will own closing processes, ensure compliance with GAAP, and partner with senior leadership on performance insights and strategic initiatives.

Role includes driving global process improvements, supporting ERP implementation, and managing a distributed accounting organization across sites with a focus on accuracy and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership in a complex, multi-site environment.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, and SOX requirements.
• Experience leading and engaging teams in a complex, international organization.
• Experience partnering with executive leadership and translating financial information into actionable business recommendations.
• Experience supporting a publicly traded company.
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems, ideally SAP S/4HANA.

Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting activities for the Industrial segment, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP, local GAAP, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Oversee revenue recognition, inventory and cost accounting, reserves, accruals, and other significant accounting judgments.
• Partner with the Segment President and leadership to provide insights into performance, working capital, cash flow, and metrics.
• Support strategic initiatives, capital investments, acquisitions, restructurings, and growth by guiding accounting implications.
• Maintain a strong internal control and SOX environment, coordinate audits, and remediate deficiencies.
• Drive continuous improvement and digital transformation through process standardization and automation.
• Support SAP S/4HANA implementation across Industrial locations and optimize financial systems.
• Collaborate with Corporate Accounting, Operations Finance, Tax, Treasury, and other functions to meet requirements.
• Lead, develop, and inspire a diverse, globally distributed accounting organization.
