Job summary

Amazon's Global Road Safety organization seeks a Senior Program Manager to design and lead the incident management system, governing data from report to enrichment with internal and external sources. You will drive end-to-end incident lifecycle, ensuring completeness, consistency, and actionable insights for global on-road safety programs.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience.
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements.
  • Experience owning program strategy, end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, operations, engineering, data science, statistics, public health, transportation, or a related quantitative field.
  • 5+ years of experience in benchmarking, analytics, management consulting, program management, or research with a track record of delivering complex, data-driven projects independently.
  • Experience designing and executing benchmarking or comparative research programs, including methodology development, data sourcing, and executive-level presentation.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau).
  • Experience working across multiple geographies and business units with the ability to normalize disparate data sets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presenting to senior leadership.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (up to 15-25%).

Responsibilities

  • Design and build programs that improve how safety incidents are reported, investigated, and documented across Amazon's global on-road operations, including establishing standards for investigation rigor, consistency, and timeliness.
  • Develop frameworks that enrich incident records with supplemental data from internal sources (fleet te lematics, driver training records, operational and route metadata) and external sources (police crash reports, insurance claims data, government statistics, industry reports).
  • Establish data governance standards that ensure incident data is consistent, accurate, and accountable across geographies and business units, including clear ownership of data quality at each stage of the incident lifecycle.
  • Evaluate how AI and automation can accelerate incident processing, pattern detection, and analysis at scale, while keeping safety professionals in the loop to validate findings and ensure data integrity.
  • Define and refine metrics that measure the completeness and actionability of incident data, safety trends, contributing factors, and the effectiveness of incident reduction programs.
  • Align cross-functional stakeholders (safety, operations, legal, data science, engineering) around shared processes, standards, and priorities for how incident data is collected, used, and acted upon.
  • Source and normalize external benchmarks to contextualize Amazon's safety performance against peer companies, industry standards, and publicly available safety data.
