Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Senior Manager, Global Road Safety Engagement to lead external engagement for road safety performance across worldwide delivery and transportation operations. You will translate safety achievements into compelling narratives and policy positions, building partnerships with regulators, media, NGOs, and academics.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in public affairs, public policy, government relations, or safety/transportation advocacy.
• 3+ years of experience managing and developing teams, with a track record of hiring and coaching top talent.
• Experience developing and executing external engagement strategies influencing policy outcomes or public narratives for a large organization.
• Proven ability to build and manage relationships with government officials, regulators, or senior external stakeholders.
• Experience working across multiple geographies and cultures in a matrixed, global organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of engagement and communications professionals with clear goals and high standards.
• Develop and execute a worldwide external safety engagement strategy, shaping safety narratives and policy positions.
• Partner with Public Policy to represent Amazon in rulemaking, public consultations, and legislative forums.
• Forge alliances with road safety groups, academic institutions, and industry bodies to advance safety objectives.
• Coordinate messaging with Safety, Operations, Legal, Public Policy, and Public Relations across geographies.
• Define success metrics for external engagement and report progress to senior leadership.
