Job summary

Expeditors is seeking a motivated professional in the Chicago area to support domestic operations, manage GPS loads, and ensure timely dispatch of shipments. The role emphasizes accuracy, strong communication, and adherence to procedures within a Fortune 500 logistics environment.

Candidates should have a minimum of six months to one year in domestic ops, with proficient MS Office usage and a customer-service mindset.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the Chicagoland area.
• Six months to one year related experience in Domestic operations.
• Operations/Industry Knowledge preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• A proven history of providing exceptional customer service at all levels.
• Excellent organizational skills, time management skills and a professional attitude.
• Great attitude and positive feedback from customers and coworkers.
• Strong MS Office skills including Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge to create Import files.
• Understand and use the Transcon DDL workflow and other tools to ensure shipments have the proper events in the files.
• Dispatch shipments timely based on arrival and appointment.
• GPS loads and truck monitoring.
• Adherence to procedures as outlined in DLSOPS for customers.
• Escalation of problems to Management when necessary.
• Promote compliance with company policies and regulations with integrity and pride.
• Meet KPI standards in accordance with the Company’s procedures.
• Must meet 52 hours of training yearly.
