Job summary

DSV is seeking a Manager, Import to oversee ocean and air imports, ensuring timely delivery and regulatory compliance. You will manage relationships with customers, vendors, and service providers to deliver excellent service and drive efficiency.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Logistics or related field and 5 years of experience in freight/logistics, with supervisory experience highly desirable. Strong English, leadership, and analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
• 5 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or related field preferred.
• Supervisory experience is highly desirable; leadership skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee importation of goods by ocean and air, including carrier selection, booking, and transportation.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers, vendors, and service providers.
• Address customer inquiries promptly to maintain satisfaction and trust.
• Ensure compliance with customs regulations and trade laws.
• Stay updated on ocean/air freight regulations and import controls.
• Develop and implement procedures to improve efficiency and service quality.
• Identify and execute process improvements to reduce costs and increase customer satisfaction.
• Monitor KPIs and report on cargo delivery times, costs and service quality.
• Analyze performance data to identify trends and opportunities.
