Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of education.
• 3–5 years of experience in ocean import operations, including supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the ocean import department.
• Ensure compliance with customs regulations and company policies.
• Supervise a team of ocean import freight forwarders.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of shipments.
• Resolve issues related to customs, documentation, and shipment delays.
• Coordinate with ocean carriers, trucking companies and other service providers.
• Ensure accurate and timely data entry into the transportation management system.
• Provide guidance and training to team members on import regulations and procedures.
• Prepare reports and metrics related to import operations.
