Qualifications

• Ability to analyze situations and make sound, independent decisions.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with overseas offices, vendors, and shippers to manage import documentation and shipments.
• Negotiate freight costs to secure best pricing and drive cost savings.
• Follow SOPs and suggest improvements to increase efficiency.
• Stay informed about government, customs, tariffs, and import compliance requirements.
• Organize and upload shipping documents into NetSuite, including packing lists and bills of lading.
• Verify correct HTS codes and duty rates for customs entries.
• Generate shipping reports to track incoming freight data.
• Coordinate with customs brokers for ISF, clearance, and freight release.
• Communicate effectively with internal departments and external partners.
