Job summary

Hampton Lumber is seeking a proactive Import/Export Logistics Coordinator to manage end-to-end shipments both domestically and internationally. You will coordinate dispatches, track orders, and provide visibility into shipment activity across ports, rail, and truck modes.

Collaborating with sales, carriers, and warehouses, you will ensure compliance with trade regulations, negotiate freight rates when appropriate, and maintain data integrity in LumberTrack and related systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred (Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field)
• Experience with logistics and dispatching operations required
• Familiarity with transportation across port, intermodal, or other logistics channels preferred
• Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Teams, and other Microsoft Suite products
• Proficiency in LumberTrack or Transportation Management Systems preferred

Responsibilities

• Dispatch and coordinate shipments across ports, rail, and warehouses.
• Track and trace shipments across ocean, rail, and truck modes with timely updates.
• Serve as primary contact for carriers, managing scheduling and issue resolution.
• Obtain and support negotiation of freight rates for cost-effective transport.
• Enter and maintain shipment data in systems (e.g., LumberTrack) ensuring data integrity.
• Analyze reports on shipment activity, costs, and service performance for improvements.
• Coordinate import/export shipments ensuring compliance with regulations.
