Job summary

International Justice Mission (IJM) is seeking a Communications Fellow to craft executive communications, speeches, and issue-focused storytelling. You will conduct field research, verify facts, and position IJM’s work within regional and global conversations, supporting the Regional President for Asia Pacific.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of relevant professional experience and/or a graduate degree.
• Prior work experience in Communications, Media, and/or Public Relations.
• Demonstrated experience in writing and public speaking, shown via writing samples and recorded speaking engagement(s).
• Expert knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Windows XP.
• Experience with deep research and analysis in a professional and/or academic setting.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Regional President, Asia Pacific, to develop executive communications and speeches for external speaking engagements, ensuring alignment with the President's voice and creating accompanying graphics as needed.
• Conduct research, verify facts, and provide context that positions IJM's work within regional and global conversations.
• Conduct field research and write compelling, issue-focused stories that highlight IJM's impact and work.
• Research, compile, and analyze information to support the office's communications initiatives.
• Develop written materials based on studies, surveys, interviews, and other information sources.
• Serve as an entrepreneurial internal reporter, identifying and capturing stories and news that showcase IJM's work and impact.
