Job summary

FTC Solar, headquartered in Austin, TX, seeks a Manager, People Operations & Payroll to own the operational backbone of our global HR function. You will oversee US payroll, HRIS, compensation administration, and workforce reporting for a dynamic, multi-country workforce.

You will report to the CHRO and lead US payroll/benefits support, partnering with Legal and Finance. This hands-on role requires integrity, accuracy, and strong process discipline.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of progressive HR operations experience with direct ownership of US multi-state payroll
• Hands-on experience supervising payroll staff or vendors; able to catch and correct errors before processing
• HRIS administration experience (ADP/Paylocity/Rippling/UKG) including integrations and reporting
• Strong compensation analytics skills; advanced Excel required

Responsibilities

• Oversee US multi-state payroll processing end-to-end for salaried and hourly staff
• Audit payroll inputs/outputs to catch errors before payroll runs
• Manage payroll/benefits resources; set standards and documentation
• Serve as escalation point and backup for payroll processing
• Oversee benefits administration including enrollments and open enrollment
