Job summary

FTC Solar is seeking an experienced Manager, People Operations & Payroll to own the global HR systems, data, and processes for a multi-country workforce. You will lead US payroll oversight, HRIS administration, and compensation governance while guiding the benefits program and performance management across regions.

You will report to the CHRO, supervise US payroll and benefits support, and partner with Legal and Finance on sensitive workforce actions.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of progressive HR operations experience with direct ownership of US multi-state payroll
• Hands-on supervisory experience of payroll staff or vendors and error prevention
• HRIS administration experience with integrations and reporting
• Advanced Excel and compensation analytics skills

Responsibilities

• Oversee US payroll processing end to end for salaried and hourly staff
• Audit payroll inputs/outputs to catch errors before employees are affected
• Oversee benefits administration, enrollments, life events, invoicing, open enrollment
• Own HRIS as system administrator: data integrity, access controls, workflows, integrations
• Produce recurring/ad hoc workforce reports for CHRO, exec team, and board
• Maintain headcount and org data model with timely updates
• Lead global performance management cycles and drive calibration and feedback
• Ensure compliance with GDPR, CCPA, and other global privacy rules
