Job summary

FTC Solar Inc. is seeking a Manager, People Operations & Payroll to own the payroll, HRIS, and data backbone for a multi-country workforce. You will oversee US payroll, compensation administration, and benefits, while maintaining HR data integrity and governance.

You will lead the global performance management cycle and ensure compliance across jurisdictions, partnering with Legal and Finance on sensitive workforce actions in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of progressive HR operations experience with direct ownership of US multi-state payroll
• Hands-on experience supervising payroll staff or vendors with a track record of catching/correcting errors
• HRIS administration experience (e.g., ADP, Paylocity, Rippling, UKG) including integrations and reporting
• Strong compensation analytics skills; advanced Excel required
• Experience supporting a multi-country workforce, ideally including Employer of Record structures
• Working knowledge of US wage and hour law, leave administration, and benefits compliance; manufacturing population a plus

Responsibilities

• US Payroll & Benefits Oversight: supervise multi-state payroll end to end and review each payroll run
• HRIS & People Data: maintain data integrity and run workforce reports
• Global Performance Management: lead goal setting, reviews, calibration, and feedback
• Compliance & Risk Management: ensure HR data/privacy compliance and audit readiness
• Compensation & Cycle Administration: manage merit, bonus, and equity cycles
• Compliance, Leave & International Operations: administer leave programs and coordinate with international EOR partners
