Overview.ai is hiring a hands-on Lead HR to build and own our global HR program, including China HR and cross-border compliance. You’ll lead a small team (1–2 reports) and work with leadership to shape scalable HR infrastructure across North America, APAC, and Europe.

You will travel 15–40% depending on location, collaborating with teams across time zones, and report to the Head of Global Recruiting. This is a high-impact, hands-on leadership role.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years in HR with hands-on ownership of compliance and HR operations.
• Direct China HR experience, including labor contracts, social insurance and housing fund, and local labor law.
• Global HR compliance across multiple countries, including employment law, contracts, and statutory benefits.
• US HR compliance across federal and multi-state requirements.
• Has built HR processes or programs from scratch at a scaling company.
• Operates as a hands-on executor, not just an advisor.
• Works effectively across time zones with teams in Asia and Europe.

Aufgaben

• Global HR compliance across every country operated; identify and close gaps.
• Own China HR for the Shanghai-based team; day-to-day execution with direct report.
• Design scalable onboarding, offboarding, contracts, leave, payroll inputs across countries; implement performance processes.
• Build a global policy framework and country addenda handbook.
• Partner on new country entry, including entity vs. EOR decisions.
• Be the go-to resource for managers on employee relations and policy questions.
• Maintain accurate, auditable employee data, contracts, and records.
• Manage relationships with EOR, payroll, benefits and employment counsel.
