Job summary

Overview.AI is seeking a hands-on Lead HR role to build and scale our global HR function. You will diagnose compliance gaps, own HR for the China team, and create programs that enable rapid, compliant growth across North America, APAC, and Europe.

You will report to the Head of Global Recruiting and travel 15–40% depending on location. Hybrid work near our SF HQ is possible, with substantial autonomy and direct access to leadership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in HR with hands-on ownership of compliance and operations.
• Direct China HR experience including contracts, social insurance, housing fund, and local law.
• Global HR compliance across multiple countries and employment laws.
• US HR compliance across federal and multi-state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Own global HR compliance across all countries served.
• Lead China HR with the Shanghai HR & Admin Manager as direct report.
• Design scalable onboarding, offboarding, contracts, leaves, payroll inputs, and performance reviews.
• Build a global policy framework and country addenda.
• Support international expansion with entity vs. EOR decisions.
• Assist managers on employee relations, performance, and policy questions.
• Maintain accurate employee data, contracts, and audit-ready records.
• Manage EOR, payroll, benefits, and employment counsel relationships.
