Job summary

Overview.ai is seeking a hands-on Lead HR to build and scale global HR compliance, own China HR, and design scalable programs across North America, APAC and Europe.

You will report to the Head of Global Recruiting, travel 15%–40% (15% if based near SF HQ with hybrid work), and lead 1–2 direct reports in China/Taiwan. You’ll shape the company’s HR function from the ground up with autonomy.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in HR with hands-on ownership of compliance and operations.
• Direct China HR experience including contracts and social housing fund.
• Global HR compliance across multiple countries and US federal/state rules.
• Built HR processes or programs at a scaling company.
• Hands-on executor with cross-time-zone collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Own global HR compliance across all operating countries; identify and close gaps.
• Lead China HR, partnering with Shanghai HR & Admin Manager on daily work.
• Design scalable onboarding/offboarding, contracts, leaves, payroll inputs, and performance reviews.
• Build a global HR policy framework with country addenda.
• Support international expansion decisions and entity vs. EOR models.
• Advise managers on employee relations, performance, and policy questions.
• Maintain accurate HR data, contracts, and audit readiness; manage vendors.
