Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. is seeking an experienced HR Director to lead the human capital function for the Howmet Fastening Systems division in Southern California and beyond.

You will partner with segment leaders to drive talent acquisition, succession planning, employee development, and engagement across multiple sites, including Mexico. This on-site role requires strategic leadership and compliance with export-control requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of HR experience in a global company with multiple sites.
• Minimum 5 years of direct and indirect reports in a matrixed HR organization.
• Proven ability to lead and develop teams and build relationships across a matrix.
• Strong business acumen and ability to partner with senior leaders; HR thought leader.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills; capable of leading complex projects.
• Experience with Oracle and Workbrain is preferred.
• U.S. work authorization required; export-control considerations apply.

Responsibilities

• Lead talent acquisition, talent management, succession planning, learning and development.
• Oversee HR processes with timely delivery of information and insights.
• Drive workforce planning, engagement, and retention initiatives.
• Coach leaders to optimize the employee experience and leadership development.
• Partner with leaders on talent reviews and development plans.
• Manage learning initiatives and training programs.
• Plan and deliver a Talent Acquisition strategy across segments.
• Ensure compliance with laws and regulations; coordinate with Legal.
• Manage employee relations issues and conduct investigations.
• Promote company values and positive employee relations.
