Job summary

Modal is seeking a hands-on Global Workplace Lead to own the workplace experience across all Modal offices. You will manage the Workplace Experience team, set day-to-day operations, and align programs and environments with the company’s product-driven standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in workplace, facilities, or office operations at a high-growth tech company.
• 2+ years of people management, leading moves or openings.
• Experience overseeing operations across multiple offices, ideally in more than one country.
• Strong taste and judgment — what looks and feels like Modal.
• Willingness to dive into details and take a hands-on approach.
• Ability to influence cross-functional partners and translate strategy into local execution.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
• Excited to be in an in-office role and travel to Modal offices globally.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of workplace services professionals.
• Own operational quality across all offices by tracking SLAs and utilization.
• Monitor local realities and company priorities to guide workplace strategy.
• Create global budget and vendor strategy for workplace experience; set clear expectations.
• Guide major transitions like new openings and relocations.
• Shape Modal's brand and culture in physical spaces with attention to detail.
• Synthesize data and context into recommendations for continuous improvement.
