Job summary

Modal Labs is seeking a hands-on Global Workplace Lead to own workplace experience across all Modal offices. You’ll manage our Workplace Experience team and set the tone for day-to-day operations, programs, and environments that make each location thrive.

You’ll develop a deep understanding of office needs, build trusted relationships with local leads and partners, and shape how our spaces reflect Modal’s product mindset and brand.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in workplace, facilities, or office operations at a high-growth tech company.
• 2+ years of people management, including office moves or openings.
• Experience overseeing workplace operations across multiple offices, ideally in more than one country.
• Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional partners and translate company strategy into effective local execution.
• Willing and able to travel to Modal offices globally.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of workplace services professionals.
• Own operational quality across every office by tracking service levels and space utilization.
• Stay ahead of what the business needs next by keeping a pulse on local realities and company-wide priorities.
• Build the global budget and vendor strategy for workplace experience, and hold contractors and service providers accountable to clear performance expectations.
• Guide workplace experience through major transitions, including new office openings and relocations.
• Shape how Modal's brand and culture show up physically — bringing the same clarity, craft, and attention to detail to our spaces that we bring to our product.
• Synthesize data, stakeholder input, and business context into recommendations for continuous improvement.
