Job summary

ASM, a leader in advanced semiconductor manufacturing, seeks a Director of Category Management - Mechanics to own the sourcing and supplier strategy for the Mechanics category. You will collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Quality and Business Units to translate needs into strategic sourcing solutions, enabling ASM to scale globally with resilience and technological leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in relevant field
• 15+ years in strategic sourcing/procurement/engineering in high-mix, low-volume manufacturing
• Proven track record managing complex global supply chains
• Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills with suppliers
• Leadership in driving sourcing transformation and building teams
• Experience with SAP/S4 Hana preferred
• Deep Mechanics category knowledge including precision manufacturing

Responsibilities

• Architect a 3–5 year global category sourcing strategy
• Drive year-over-year TCO reduction through value engineering
• Establish a Zero-Defect quality culture with key suppliers and target >95% on-time delivery
• Lead and develop a high-performing, global sourcing team
