Job summary

OMERS Direct Private Equity is seeking a Director, Human Capital to lead talent strategy across portfolio companies from the New York office. You will partner with investment teams and CEOs to shape leadership, culture, succession, and organization design for value creation.

The role demands a strategic, commercially minded leader with private equity experience and the ability to influence senior executives without direct reporting lines.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant experience in human capital, talent, organization effectiveness, executive search, leadership advisory, management consulting, private equity operations and/or senior HR leadership.
• Experience working with private equity-backed, founder-led, mid-market and high-growth companies.
• Demonstrated ability to advise CEOs, CHROs, boards, and senior investors on leadership, talent, organization, and culture topics.

Responsibilities

• Identify and execute human capital initiatives that support value creation, growth, and operational performance.
• Develop tailored human capital value creation plans for portfolio companies aligned with investment theses.
• Advise CEOs, CHROs, and boards on organization design, leadership, succession, incentives, culture, and change management.
• Support portfolio companies through growth, transformation, and post-merger integration.
• Create playbooks, tools, and best practices that scale across the portfolio.
