Ladders, a leader in Finance & Insurance, seeks a Director, Operations & Strategy (Human Capital) in New York. This role shapes people strategy across investments and portfolio companies, partnering with senior leaders to drive value via culture and org effectiveness.

You will develop scalable playbooks, lead due diligence on new investments, and support growth, integration, and transformation efforts across portfolio companies with hands-on impact.

• 10+ years of experience in human capital, talent, and organization effectiveness.
• Experience with private equity-backed, founder-led, and high-growth companies.
• Ability to advise senior leaders on leadership, talent, and culture topics.

For our client, we are seeking a Director, Operations & Strategy (Human Capital) to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space.

This role will help shape human capital strategy across investment and portfolio environments, with a focus on driving value creation through leadership, culture, and organizational effectiveness. The position partners closely with senior stakeholders to assess talent, design scalable people approaches, and support growth, transformation, and integration efforts. It is a hands‑on, high‑impact opportunity to influence decisions that improve business outcomes across new investments and operating companies.

Location: New York, NY - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $230,000 – $330,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Partner with leadership teams to execute human capital initiatives that drive value creation
• Develop tailored human capital plans aligned with investment strategies
• Advise on organization design, leadership effectiveness, and culture
