Job summary

CoinDesk in New York City seeks a visionary Head of Events to lead and scale our global events division, anchored by Consensus. You will own strategy, P&L, and cross-functional execution with operations, marketing, programming, and production to drive revenue and audience growth.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in large-scale B2B conference production, commercial media, or experiential events.
• Proven track record of running flagship events scaling over 10,000+ attendees.
• Deep understanding of event economics, sponsorship sales, and hybrid event infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute a multi-year growth strategy for the events business, focusing on scaling Consensus attendance and global footprint.
• Own full financial accountability for the events unit and optimize sponsorship and ticket pricing.
• Oversee data-driven marketing to expand audience including TradFi, institutional investors, and crypto communities.
• Lead a multidisciplinary events team and align with Editorial for high-quality programming.
• Steer vendor negotiations, venue selection, and tech stack integrations for large-scale events.
