Ashurst Perkins Coie is seeking a Senior Director of Data & Analytics to lead the firm’s global data and analytics organization, owning the enterprise data strategy and transforming data into trusted, governed assets.

You will set the multi-year vision for data platforms, lead data engineering, governance, ML engineering, and AI capabilities, and ensure security, reliability, and cost efficiency across the data estate.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in data engineering, analytics, data science, or related tech.
• 5+ years in senior leadership managing multidisciplinary data/engineering teams.
• Strong enterprise data architecture, lakehouse, integration, and modeling expertise.
• Deep experience with Databricks, Azure, SQL, Python, and PySpark.
• Working knowledge of machine learning, MLOps, AI governance.
• Proven track record delivering analytics/AI initiatives to production with measurable impact.
• Understanding of data quality, governance, security, metadata and compliance.
• Experience managing budgets, vendors, and cross-functional initiatives.
• Experience leading distributed or global teams across regions.
• Excellent executive communication and strategic leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise data & analytics strategy, roadmap, and priorities with senior leadership.
• Oversee data architecture, engineering, governance, analytics, data science, and ML engineering.
• Own Databricks and Azure lakehouse architecture, security, and performance.
• Establish standards for data integration, quality, governance, metadata, and security.
• Direct ML engineering and MLOps to production-ready data products.
• Enable analytics and AI via governed data services and semantic models.
• Lead build/buy/partner decisions, vendor management, and platform optimization.
• Translate business needs into measurable data-driven value.
• Manage budgets, resources, risks, and executive reporting.
• Grow a high-performing global data organization across regions.
