Kong Inc. is seeking a Senior Director, GTM People Business Partner to lead our global go-to-market people function.

You will report to the Chief People Officer and partner with the leaders of Direct Sales, Sales Engineering, SDR/BDR, channels, and Revenue Operations across the Americas, EMEA and APJ. This builder role shapes how the revenue organization is designed, led, paid and grown, and leads the People Business Partners who support it.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in People functions with CRO-level experience.
• Background in infrastructure, developer-platform, API, cloud or open-source software.
• Experience designing sales organizations with Finance and Revenue Operations.
• Fluency in sales compensation design and benchmarking.
• Track record running performance reviews for quota-carrying teams across US/EMEA/APJ.
• Experience assessing and developing sales leaders, building succession plans for a revenue leadership team.
• Data fluency: build and defend a people dashboard for CRO meetings.
• Executive presence and judgment trusted by CRO and CPO.
• Based in Southern California or able to spend regular time in person with GTM leadership, with travel to SF.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the CRO and GTM leadership on org, talent, leadership and culture counsel.
• Design the GTM organization for its next stage, including role architecture and leveling.
• Run headcount and capacity planning with Finance, Rev Ops and TA.
• Govern sales compensation, quotas, pay-mix, and plan rollout.
• Build the GTM performance system with quarterly reviews across regions.
• Develop the sales leadership bench and succession plans for revenue leadership.
• Define ramp plans and monitor time-to-quota with Enablement and TA.
• Advance culture, inclusion and engagement across distributed teams.
• Oversee employee relations and international employment compliance.
• Create GTM people dashboard and present at quarterly business reviews.
• Lead change management for territory realignments and AI shift.
• Shape the People operating model including AI/automation in HR.
