Job summary

Kong Inc. is seeking a Senior Director, GTM People Business Partner to lead the people strategy for its global go-to-market organization.

You will report to the Chief People Officer and sit on the CRO leadership team, partnering with Direct Sales, Sales Engineering, Channels, and Revenue Operations across multiple regions. Qualifications

• 12+ years in People, incl. 5+ years partnering with CROs or sales leaders at a B2B software company.
• Strong background in infrastructure, developer platforms, API, cloud or open-source software.
• Experience designing sales organizations with Finance and Revenue Operations.
• Fluency in sales compensation design: OTE and pay-mix, quota setting.
• Proven track record running talent reviews and succession planning for revenue teams.
• Data fluency: build and defend a people dashboard and present insights at CRO staff meetings.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the CRO and GTM leadership to translate revenue plans into people plans.
• Design the GTM org structure, coverage models, leveling and ramp plans for sales, solutions engineering, SDR/BDR, partner and enablement roles.
• Lead headcount and capacity planning with Finance, Revenue Ops, and Talent Acquisition; run monthly GTM hiring reviews.
• Govern sales compensation philosophy, quotas, pay-mix benchmarks, and plan rollout.
• Build the GTM performance system with quarterly talent reviews, calibration and promotions.
• Build the sales leadership bench and succession plans for revenue leadership; coach VP-level executives.
• Shorten ramp and drive retention through 30/60/90 plans and attrition analysis.
• Protect culture, inclusion and engagement across distributed teams; monitor manager effectiveness.
• Own employee relations and international compliance across multiple regions with Legal support.
• Create GTM people dashboard metrics and present at every QBR.
• Lead change management for territory realignments, comp-plan changes and AI-driven shifts in HR work.
• Direct the GTM People Business Partner team and shape Kong’s People operating model.
