Job summary

Amazon in Arlington, VA seeks a Sr. Innovation and Design Engineer to lead design and innovation for world-class fulfillment centers and logistics systems.

You will own multiple projects from concept to approval and serve as the primary technical contact with suppliers, coordinating hand-offs to Operations Engineering for installation and launch. The role requires at least 5 years of design experience, a bachelor’s degree in engineering, and proficiency with Excel, Project, and CAD.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of design & innovation, research & development experience.
• Experience managing engineering design projects.
• Experience using business or technical software such as MS Excel, MS Project, and CAD software.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design efficient, cost-effective fulfillment and distribution solutions.
• Own and manage multiple engineering design projects from concept to approval.
• Serve as the primary technical contact with suppliers.
• Coordinate hand-off of completed designs to Operations Engineering for installation, commissioning, and launch.
• Support installation teams to validate system performance.
