Job summary

DHL Global Forwarding in Austin, Texas seeks a Strategic Sales Director to drive gross profit and volume growth by acquiring new business and expanding medium to large accounts within the SBC segment. You will hunt for opportunities, tailor solutions across DHL's portfolio, and coordinate with Product teams, Trade Lane Managers, and other channels to maximize revenue and customer value.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in the industry.
• 0-3 years of Sales Experience in international logistics (preferred).
• Proven success in new business acquisition.
• Solid PC skills and Microsoft Office experience.
• Knowledge of international air and ocean freight.
• Experience managing medium to large, complex accounts.
• Outgoing, upbeat and resourceful personality.
• Ability to navigate a global network for best customer service.

Responsibilities

• Win, retain and develop medium/large business customers in the SBC segment.
• Recommend tailored solutions based on customer needs using industry knowledge.
• Deliver compelling proposals, quotations and bids addressing customer pain points and growth.
• Build rapport with SBC accounts by understanding their business and market dynamics.
• Support SBC accounts retention through collaboration with Product teams, Trade Lane Managers and other sales channels.
• Coordinate targeted sales campaigns aligned with DHL's strategic priorities.
• Maintain a personal sales plan focused on new business and revenue growth.
• Manage all sales activities and keep CRM up to date.
• Coordinate onboarding of new clients including credit setup, rate loading, and instructions.
• Align sales efforts with regional and product strategies.
• Support DHL's compliance and sustainability initiatives in sales.
