Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to support international freight operations based in Fort Lee, New Jersey. You will track shipments, maintain ERP data accuracy, and manage import documentation to ensure timely processing.

You will work with ocean, rail, and terminal partners, applying INCOTerms and US customs rules, while seeking improvements to workflow and cost control. Strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years international freight forwarding or similar.
• Comprehension of ocean bills of lading, and other documentation related to international trade and ocean freight.
• Experience with ocean carrier, rail carrier and marine terminal tracking systems.
• Working knowledge of INCOTerms and US Customs formalities.
• Familiarity with transportation regulations including: 49CFR, IATA and IMDG.
• Strong mathematic and communication abilities.
• Proficient computer skills including Excel, Word and accurate data entry.

Responsibilities

• Track shipment movement in third party systems
• Maintain accurate data in ERP system
• Manage the flow of shipment documentation
• Ensure timely and compliant accomplishment of import customs activities including ISF filing and customs entry
• Monitor and facilitate shipment milestones, such as import freight release
• Manage shipment level performance of logistics service providers for successful execution and prevention of avoidable costs
• Communicate effectively with internal and external partners as may be required to execute shipments
• Identify and escalation process or performance exceptions as encountered
• Perform to high standards of service to both internal and external customers
• Contribute to continuous process improvement toward greater efficiency and effectiveness of logistics activities
