Job summary

AbbVie seeks an Associate Director, Finance Internal Audit to lead planning, execution and reporting of global internal audits, driving risk-based programs and strengthening the company’s control environment.

Reporting to the Finance Audit Director, you will manage audit teams, develop talent, and influence senior management while partnering with multiple functions to improve processes and ensure compliance with IIA standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting and/or Business Administration or Equivalent required (MS and/or MBA preferred)
• 7+ years of relevant experience
• CIA, CPA and/or CFE certifications preferred
• Public accounting or internal audit experience preferred
• Previous managerial experience preferred
• Progressive Financial/Accounting experience preferred
• Pharmaceutical industry experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Audit Planning, Execution & Reporting (~70%). Assist in development and execution of a comprehensive risk-based global internal audit program.
• Directly manage and perform multiple Financial and Operational internal audits with focus on internal controls and GAAP.
• Provide management with valuable recommendations and insights to strengthen the control environment.
• Manage internal projects and process improvement initiatives; maintain professionalism and independence.

Education

Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting and/or Business Administration
