Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation is seeking a field technician to provide technical support for SNC customers and field units. The role requires documenting interactions and implementing hardware, software, or training changes per SNC instructions.

The position involves travel to remote locations worldwide, performing maintenance with minimal supervision, and adhering to shift priorities. A DoD-related background and the ability to obtain a passport and visa are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 1+ years as a technician or related field.
• Associate's degree preferred; higher degree may substitute for experience.
• Basic understanding of schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and publications.
• Experience troubleshooting techniques and understanding of electrical wiring concepts.
• Willingness to travel outside the continental US and deploy OCONUS; 90/90 rotation.
• Must pass pre-deployment medical assessment; able to obtain passport and visa.
• US government security clearance required; processing if not currently held.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to SNC customers for quick problem assessment and corrections on field units.
• Document all customer interactions; support hardware, software, or training issue changes per SNC instructions.
• Be punctual and prepared for scheduled hours; perform assigned maintenance with minimal supervision.
• Travel to remote locations worldwide with short notice.
• Follow shift lead supervisor's daily taskings, priorities, and expectations.
• Other duties as assigned.
