Job summary

ASM in Hillsboro, OR is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair advanced semiconductor capital equipment. You’ll serve as the technical expert in the field, delivering outstanding customer service while ensuring performance, reliability and safety.

Travel to domestic and international locations is expected. The role offers exposure to cutting-edge semiconductor tech, collaboration with global teams, and opportunities to support customers across locations.

Qualifications

Associate degree in Electronics, Electro-Mechanical Technology, or related discipline.
5+ years of field service experience with complex capital equipment.
Strong troubleshooting of electro-mechanical systems with microprocessors.
Ability to read electrical, electronic, and electro-mechanical schematics/drawings.
Experience with preventative maintenance, installations, repairs and diagnostics.
Proficiency with oscilloscopes, DVMs and common diagnostic tools.
Excellent written and verbal English communication.
Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

Perform installation, qualification, preventative maintenance and repairs on semiconductor capital equipment.
Troubleshoot electrical, electronic, mechanical, and software issues in customer environments.
Provide timely technical support while maintaining customer satisfaction.
Interpret schematics and documentation to diagnose equipment issues.
Support equipment upgrades, modifications, and process improvements.
Document service actions and findings accurately.
Collaborate with engineering, support and customer teams to improve performance.
Adhere to safety procedures and travel 25%-75% domestically and internationally.
