Job summary

Barton Staffing Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician for our client in Batavia, IL. You will install, commission, and service industrial machinery at customer sites, with responsibility for troubleshooting and repairs.

The ideal candidate will be mechanically strong with experience in hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems, and be comfortable traveling domestically and internationally up to 75%.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; technical education preferred.
• Field Service Technician to install, commission, maintain, troubleshoot and repair industrial machinery.
• Travel up to 75% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Install, assemble, set up, adjust, and service industrial machinery and equipment.
• Perform mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical assembly and troubleshooting.
• Conduct preventive maintenance, inspections, lubrication, calibration, and equipment adjustments.
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions and identify root causes of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues.
• Respond to emergency equipment breakdowns and production-related service calls.
• Troubleshoot equipment to minimize customer downtime.
• Assist with machine startup, commissioning, testing, calibration, and performance verification.
• Read and interpret hydraulic schematics, mechanical drawings, manuals, and technical documentation.
