Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Customer Service Engineer to act as a technical expert supporting medium-speed diesel and gas engines across marine, offshore oil and gas, and power generation applications worldwide.

You will troubleshoot, optimize performance, and provide guidance to customers, dealers, and internal teams. This role offers global collaboration and exposure to diverse energy and industrial projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Marine Engineering or related field.
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
• Experience with medium-speed diesel and gas engines.
• Ability to diagnose complex engine and system issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced technical support for medium-speed diesel and gas engine installations serving marine, offshore oil and gas, and power generation customers.
• Diagnose and resolve complex engine, controls, monitoring system, and auxiliary equipment issues.
• Analyse engine and system performance data to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Develop, execute, and document engine performance and validation testing activities.
• Collaborate with performance engineering teams to optimize engine operating parameters and control strategies.
• Support dealers and customers with technical inquiries involving engine systems and balance-of-plant equipment.
• Lead and coordinate technical projects and field activities to resolve complex customer challenges.
