Job summary

Mustang Cat is hiring a Marine Field Service Technician/Mechanic to service the Southeast Texas Gulf Coast. The role focuses on diagnosing and repairing marine diesel engines and generator systems on vessels, delivering in-field engine overhauls, and maintaining safety-first service practices.

Ideal candidates will have experience in boat engine repair or marine diesel tech, strong communication with vessel owners, and the ability to document service actions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's degree or technical certification preferred.
• Experience servicing diesel engines and performing generator repair.
• Ability to diagnose and repair electronic marine control systems.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair marine diesel engines and generator systems
• Perform in-field engine overhauls and marine power unit service
• Troubleshoot electronic engine control systems
• Deliver service onboard marine vessels
• Communicate professionally with vessel owners, captains, and customers
