Veeco Instruments Inc. is seeking an ambitious Field Service Engineer to learn Veeco’s Laser-based Annealing technology and support a strategic customer by installing, starting up, sustaining, and troubleshooting semiconductor equipment.

The role involves domestic and international travel for training and support, with base in Oregon. The candidate will drive onsite activities, maintain safety standards, and build strong customer relationships while communicating effectively with teams and

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• At least 5 years of technical service, field service, or customer support experience.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.
• Experience with semiconductor equipment or related laser/optics technology is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety and confidentiality policies.
• Perform installation, upgrade, testing, warranty, and repair activities per Veeco protocols.
• Isolate and resolve equipment malfunctions and implement corrective actions.
• Assist with implementing new processes, methods, and designs.
• Develop relationships with customers to ensure high satisfaction and retention.
• Coordinate onsite activities and communicate field actions in reports.
