Job summary

Qcells Georgia, Inc. seeks a Field Quality Engineer to monitor and improve global field quality across multiple sites. You will analyze field claims, track KPIs, and coordinate corrective actions to reduce CoQ while supporting B2B accounts with proactive risk management.

You will collaborate with plant quality, legal, and leadership to ensure structured investigations, timely escalation, and effective corrective actions, including 8D and RCA, with travel up to 30% as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering or manufacturing quality.
• Understanding of ISO 9001 or equivalent quality management system.
• Experience supporting customer audits in manufacturing environments.
• Experience analyzing warranty or field claim data.
• Proficient in root cause analysis methodologies (8D, FMEA, RCA).
• Strong analytical and reporting skills (Excel, statistics).
• Willingness to travel 20–30% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Customer Audit & Corrective Action activities.
• Track corrective and preventive actions from audits.
• Provide management with status updates on risks and action progress.
• Monitor field quality KPI data and align with site improvements.
• Analyze warranty and field claim data to identify systemic issues.
• Lead 8D, RCA, FMEA investigations with cross-functional teams.
• Coordinate field actions with plant teams and confirm effectiveness.
• Deliver data-driven insights for risk mitigation and customer negotiations.
• Support cross-functional response to significant field incidents, including PL cases.
• Coordinate on-site investigations (domestic/international travel up to 20–30%).
