Job summary
KLA is seeking a field installation engineer in Phoenix to install and qualify advanced semiconductor equipment at customer sites worldwide. You will diagnose issues, perform setup and calibration, and collaborate with regional teams to ensure system performance and proper handover.
The role requires strong electronics/optics/mechanical knowledge, experience with high-vacuum systems, and willingness to travel extensively.
Qualifications
- Master's degree or Bachelor's with related experience.
- Strong knowledge of electronics, optics, and ME/EO systems.
- 90%+ travel as part of role.
- Experience with high-vacuum systems preferred.
Responsibilities
- Install and qualify advanced KLA systems at customer sites globally, ensuring installations are on schedule and meet quality standards.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues during installation by identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
- Perform setup, alignment, calibration, and verification of highly complex semiconductor capital equipment.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with KLA regions, engineering, and customer teams to verify system performance and transfer tool ownership.
- Provide clear status updates to all stakeholders throughout the installation process.
- Complete installation documentation and administrative requirements accurately and on time.
