Job summary

Schmidt Futures seeks an Advisor, Support Services to provide direct Fellow support and oversee education funding, benefits, wellbeing, and related services for ~400 Fellows globally. The role reports to the Executive Director, Rise, and collaborates across Rise, The Rhodes Trust, and external partners.

During staffing transitions, you will manage an assigned Fellow portfolio, maintain records in Airtable, and escalate complex cases requiring policy interpretation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Experience supporting students, young adults, scholarship recipients, fellowship participants, or others navigating education, funding, or complex administrative processes is preferred.
• Experience managing a caseload, portfolio, customer or client population, or similarly high-volume set of individual relationships and requests is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned portfolio of Fellows within established Support Services policies and processes, serving as a primary point of contact.
• Conduct Fellow support and advising calls related to education, funding, benefits, wellbeing, and other needs.
• Identify and escalate complex cases, funding exceptions and appeals, hardship needs, safeguarding matters, and other situations requiring elevated judgment.
• Maintain safeguarding, privacy, data protection, and documentation standards in all interactions.
