Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is seeking a technically grounded FM Engineering Operations Director to lead facilities operations for a global semiconductor equipment manufacturer in Fremont, CA. You will guide a team of managers, serve as the client’s go-to technical resource on building systems, and act as a trusted advisor to CBRE leadership.

You will own staffing, financial management, and safety programs while translating complex technical issues into clear recommendations for site leaders

Qualifications

• 10-20 years of facilities experience in complex/critical environments such as semiconductor, light industrial, R&D labs, or regulated manufacturing.
• Working knowledge of building systems: HVAC and chilled water operations, electrical systems, exhaust and scrubber systems.
• Experience leading managers or supervisors and developing people for larger roles.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior technical resource to the client on critical building systems and direct internal/vendor resources.
• Translate technical issues into clear, fact-based recommendations for stakeholders from site leads to senior executives.
• Engage with the client’s senior executives in high-profile spaces, delivering hospitality-minded, professional support.
• Lead, coach, and develop 2-3 managers and senior managers and manage staffing, performance, and retention.
• Own the account’s financial performance, budgets, forecasts, and monthly reports.
• Support account growth and contract renewals by identifying opportunities and presenting to leadership.
• Champion a strong HSE culture, ensure safety training, and stop-work authority is exercised when needed.
