Job summary

Dow is seeking an External Manufacturing Sourcing Manager in the United States to define sourcing opportunities, develop strategies, manage supplier relationships, and lead negotiations to optimize value for Dow. This role requires market analysis, consensus-building, and project leadership across sites.

Location options include Midland, TX or other Dow sites; the role emphasizes safety, compliance, and sustained value delivery through cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or military experience or 10 years of relevant working experience.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience.
• U.S. work authorization; no visa sponsorship is available for this position.

Responsibilities

• Clarify the scope of purchase and service requirements with stakeholders.
• Drive value from the market using business acumen and market knowledge; propose competitive solutions.
• Assess and manage risk of market, supplier, and purchase activities.
• Develop sourcing strategies to enable competitive and reliable purchases with safety/compliance.
• Lead supplier qualification, RFI, RFQ/RFP, competitive bidding, bid evaluation, and negotiations.
• Negotiate and implement commercial agreements aligned with regional strategies.
• Conduct Supplier Performance Evaluation and drive continuous improvement via SRM KPIs.
