Job summary

Dow Inc. is seeking an External Manufacturing Sourcing Manager to drive sourcing opportunities, align strategies with suppliers, and optimize value across multiple locations in the United States. You will lead negotiations and supplier qualification while partnering with internal teams to ensure safety and compliance.

The role emphasizes market analysis, project leadership, and the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders to achieve sustained cost savings and performance improvements.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree OR relevant military experience at or above U.S. E5 or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or Sergeant ranking, OR 10 years of relevant working experience.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience.
• For U.S. Applicants: must be able to work legally in the United States; no visa sponsorship is available.

Responsibilities

• Clarify scope of purchase and service requirements with stakeholders.
• Drive value from the market by leveraging knowledge and best practices; propose cost-saving solutions.
• Assess and manage market, supplier, and purchase risk profiles.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for competitive and reliable purchase.
• Lead supplier qualification, RFI, RFQ/RFP, bidding, evaluation and negotiation.
• Analyze complex problems and evaluate solutions across multiple sources.
• Negotiate, execute and implement commercial agreements per strategy and geography.
• Conduct supplier performance evaluation and drive SRM to improve safety, productivity and quality.
• Elevate workgroup performance through influential leadership.
