Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in export operations within a freight forwarding or logistics.
• Strong knowledge of export documentation, incoterms, and compliance regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; CargoWise experience a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and multi-shipment management.
• Effective problem-solving and carrier coordination skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with clients and partners.
• Ability to pass TSA background screening for air cargo.

Responsibilities

• Handle end-to-end export operations for air and ocean shipments.
• Book shipments with carriers and coordinate with agents and customers.
• Prepare and review export documentation, including bills of lading, commercial documents and AES filings.
• Ensure compliance with EAR and ITAR and international trade laws.
• Track shipments and provide timely updates to customers.
• Work with carriers and overseas agents to ensure smooth transit.
• Negotiate rates with carriers and agents to optimize costs.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for audits and reporting.
• Provide top-tier customer service, addressing any issues that arise during the export process.
