Job summary

BDP International in Houston, TX is seeking an Export Logistics Coordinator to coordinate export trafficking, data entry, and document distribution for customer shipments, ensuring compliance with US customs requirements and timely delivery.

Responsibilities include logging, billing, shipment status reporting, and coordinating with third-party carriers; knowledge of Letters of Credit is a plus. This is a non-exempt, hourly position with full benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Two to three years of experience handling ocean or air export functions.
• Prefer at least one to three years in a customer service environment.
• College degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate export trafficking functions, data entry and document distribution for customer export shipments.
• Process documents in compliance with US Customs requirements and arrange pickup/delivery, and finalize billing.
• Review shipment status reports, monitor data and report non-conformances.
• Prepare export declarations and Bills of Lading for Ocean Exports.
• Coordinate outbound movement of international freight shipments.
• Establish rates with third party carriers.
• Knowledge of Letters of Credit is a plus.
