Job summary

SRT Marine Systems plc is seeking a Shipping and Logistics Manager (Export) to own end-to-end product distribution from purchase to final delivery, with a focus on export compliance and consolidated shipments. Based from Bristol on a hybrid basis, the role may involve occasional overseas travel as required by the business.

The ideal candidate will have strong logistics and freight-forwarding experience, practical customs knowledge, and the ability to drive cost efficiencies in global shipments

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on logistics, freight forwarding or project-cargo experience.
• Analytical, process-driven and data-driven, with a continuous quality-improvement mindset.
• Practical customs clearance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Shipping and logistics for all Systems programmes, current and future.
• Plan and forecast delivery needs with programme delivery teams to move volume by sea.
• Consolidate shipments and phase customs clearances to reduce costs.
• Manage freight forwarder and customs agent relationships within the procurement framework.
• Be accountable for end-to-end distribution including export/import clearance and in-country delivery.
