Job summary

Imerys is seeking an Export Coordinator to handle all transportation and logistics aspects of international orders from US plants to overseas customers. The role covers the full export process, including drayage coordination, booking, and document preparation in ERP systems.

You will work with freight forwarders, carriers, and internal teams to ensure on-time shipment execution, accurate invoicing, and compliant shipping documentation, while maintaining SOPs and customer profiles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2+ years ocean export experience with freight forwarder or large manufacturer, preferred.
• Understanding of INCO TERMS and who is responsible for paying freight, preferred.
• Knowledge of ocean carrier lines freight forwarding experience, strong knowledge of export, tracking companies.

Responsibilities

• Complete export shipment process, including but not limited to drayage coordination with internal departments and external vendors.
• Book US export orders annually with ocean carriers via EDI or email.
• Input booking details to ERP system and keep updated with numerous changes.
• Work closely with ocean carrier operations and drayage dispatch on container or chassis issues.
• Complete SEDs and BL instructions timely.
• Coordinate with credit team, bank and customer service in creating bank drafts and BL consignment for LCs.
• Compile shipment documents (CI, PL, etc from ERP and Ocean BL) and send to overseas customers.
• Collaborate with Customer Service, Logistics, Shipping, Production on load schedule changes.
• Audit ocean freight invoices before AP issues payment.
• Maintain SOPs and customer profiles including key contacts and special requirements.
• Monthly, track key performance indicators for carriers and internal order accuracy.
